What are the hours and days of treatment for each outpatient program?
The hours vary with each program. Typically the programs are 3 or 4 hours long, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm for the evening program and 8:45 am to 12:45 pm for the day program. Please visit the page for the location you are interested in for more information on meeting days and times or call us.
What kind of treatment do I need?
There are many types of treatment options available, from outpatient or day programs to residential care. The best way to see what you need is to complete a chemical use comprehensive assessment administered by a professional. They can help you make the right treatment choice and can provide you with referrals.
Do you prescribe Suboxone, methadone, or other MAT medications?
We don’t prescribe medication directly. Many of our clients are on MAT, and we work closely with their prescribers to support their recovery. MAT is welcome here, and our team knows how to integrate it into each person’s treatment plan.
Do you allow medical marijuana?
Clients with a valid medical cannabis certification are allowed to continue using it, as long as they are actively engaged in follow-up care with the clinician who certified their condition. We approach this respectfully and without judgment. At the same time, many people who report “medical” use are often unknowingly self-medicating rather than working with a prescriber. In those situations, we help clients look at how their use affects treatment goals, safety, and overall progress. Our focus is on open conversation and supporting each person’s recovery plan.
How does the Family Program work?
The Haven believes that family involvement is critical for success to happen. We encourage family and support persons to be involved with treatment by attending a one-on-one meeting with a counselor.
How much does treatment cost? Does insurance pay for treatment?
The Haven accepts nearly all insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, HealthPartners, Medical Assistance, Medicaid, Medica, UCare, United Healthcare, Preferred One and Cigna. You will be responsible for any co-pays and deductibles for treatment as well as any charges your insurance plan does not cover.
We do verify insurance prior to you coming to treatment to ensure that there is coverage, although this is not a complete guarantee of coverage. We also bill your insurance company for you as a courtesy. Depending on the length of time of your treatment plan, the program you’re enrolled in, and your insurance plan, treatment costs will vary.
How soon can I start?
Most clients are able to begin services within 48 hours.
How long are your programs?
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all timeline, because everyone’s recovery journey looks a little different. We tailor the length of the program to each client’s needs, progress, and level of engagement. Clients who participate actively and practice the skills they learn often move through the program more quickly, while others may benefit from a bit more time and support. This flexible approach ensures you get the right amount of care to build a strong and lasting recovery.
